Small Firm Sponsors Erie County Rail Trail
The Small Firm is once again honored to be a part of the annual EA2EVL charity bike ride.
From the president of the Erie Cattaraugus Rail Trail, Inc.:
Dear Craig,
On behalf of Erie Cattaraugus Rail Trail, Inc., I want to extend our deep appreciation for The Small Firm's sponsorship of our sixth annual 42-mile EA2EVL charity bike ride to benefit continued development of our Southtowns recreational trail. Our October 3 event under perfect sunny skies and mild fall temperatures among the rolling hills of East Aurora, Concord, and Ellicottville was very successful. I saw you near the starting line as we were delivering the pre-ride safety instructions, and hoped to thank you in person. Kudos to you and all the riders for tackling that long, hilly ride! It was a great day, and we had excellent participation, hearty fundraising, and a joyful post-ride party at Holiday Valley.
Because of your support, Erie Cattaraugus Rail Trail has been able to resurface another two miles of trail in Concord this year, along with opening an ADA-compliant trail head near Kissing Bridge Central. This new segment will connect Kissing Bridge mountain bike trails with those at Sprague Brook Park, allowing people of all ages and abilities to walk and bike the trails.
Pre-construction requirements are nearing completion for other segments of trail in Aurora and Concord, and we predict several more miles of ECRT to be finished in the 2027 construction season.
Recreational trails are important community assets, and are a rare commodity in Southern Erie County. Thank you for supporting our construction of this beautiful 27-mile multi-use recreational trail for the benefit of all in our Western NY community. Your sponsorship made our fundraising event a rousing success, and will help us proceed with confidence toward completion of the trail.
Best regards,
Mary Brummer
President
Erie Cattaraugus Rail Trail, Inc.
